Crazy busy day.

Woke up early to implement Tina's plan to get Mom her Mother's Day present; a surprise manicure, pedicure and facial. It was my job to get her old gift certificate, take her to breakfast and get her down to Chez Ritz without any suspician. I got her into the salan without her even being aware it was a gift. Hee.

Hung out with Tina, Emily and Baby Hugh for a while, then I went bike shopping. No bicycle yet, but I'm test-riding one this morning, so that should be fun. Then off to rehearsal for Oliver Twist.

After Oliver rehearsal Becky and I drove to the pre-show rehearsal for Scared Scriptless. The three newest members, Frank-Becky-n-Me, were all allowed to fully participate in this show.

Starting at 7:00pm I drank an entire gallon of water by midnight.

The show went really well. We sold out, and I think I was funny. More importantly, I had fun. Then, post-show, I headed over to Sarah's because she was having a little party. Heated up li'l smokies. Chatted about theater with a variety of people. Realized that the three people I really felt connected to were Matt, Becky, and Sarah. And now, I'm thinking, that no matter how horrible and hard this Oliver thing has been, there is an end date in sight. That gives me hope, because sink or soar, this experience will be history soon. And I will get more directing gigs in down either way, because Shane Mitchell came up to me tonight and asked if I wanted to direct some staged readings for Valdez. I said, "yes" of course, because that's my free ticket to all the workshops. But then Shane told me that Dawson Moore specifically asked that I direct one of the full length. That feels so amazing. To have people requesting me on highly coveted directing jobs.

My day started at 6:30am and its now 3:40am and I should sleep because I have that test ride tomorrow. whee!
