I spent all morning getting Gayatri to sleep, putting her down carefully, and five minutes later having to pick up a screaming baby.

I have some halibut in the fridge. Now, I cooked some of it Tuesday (the center mass was still frozen) but need to definitely cook more today. Nilesh wanted Halibut curry. This requires some definite prep. Marinade made, garlic/ginger paste, making coconut milk... etc.

So... I finally just realized that if I wear Gayatri in her sling she stays asleep. I just have to chop, clean, squeeze and manuever in the kitchen with a baby on my belly. Not so different from being pregnant except I have to be very aware after touching red pepper powder NOT to touch the baby.

And while cooking, I listened to a CD from my business, which was awesome and funny. Story about a lady who is at war with a rabbit eating her lilies. She then discovers the rabbit has babies and runs out into the street (in her pjs) to save the baby rabbits she's scared into the street by pouring fox urine all over her yard. I was amused.

Now, I'm listening to an audio book. John Adams' biography. It is pretty amazing how fascinating old dead guys lives can be. Makes me want to keep a book of poetry in my pocket because Adams told his son, "You're never alone with a book of poetry in your pocket." Maybe I can substitute a book of poetry for a book of sudoku. Would Adams approve?
