I have this long, unfinished entry just sitting over there mocking me. My birth was not the lovely fabulous experience I wanted. I was trying to write the whole thing out in hopes that sharing and writing would make it better. Instead, here's the cliff notes version.
Ended up in the hospital due to small looking baby in ultrasounds.
Labored for 25+ hours in the hospital before I was declared to be not progressing.
C-section happened.
I didn't get to see my baby for another 3+ hours.
Gayatri wasn't allowed to room with me, Nilesh wasn't allowed to stay overnight.
Gayatri developed jaundice.
The jaundice, coupled with nurses blatantly ignoring my "no pacifier" request, coupled with my weird semi-inverted nipples, coupled with Gayatri's tiny mouth made breast feeding not possible.
So, I got a hospital grade breast pump to rent.
Since then, I've been pumping my boobs every 2-4 hours.
Whee!
There. update done. Maybe now that the pressure of not having posted and needing a good catch-up post is relieved and I might be more prone to post again. heh. but with pumping the boobies, a cute high-need baby, and not being very good at typing one handed, we'll see how it goes.
