Nilesh and I drove to Detroit this weekend to hang out with friends and business people. All in all, the weather was fabulous, I got to wear two of the blouses my mom and sister picked out for me, and Nilesh got me a new necklace. Woot!
Also, the wonderful couple we stayed with (Ananta and Shilpa) were the nicest hosts you could ever ask for. Shilpa is also an amazing cook and sent me home with tupperware containers full of her various curries and other concoctions.
Our iron crapped out completely last week. Called the company and even though Nilesh bought it in June, they're gonna take it back and send us a replacement plus refund any difference in price. How's that for amazing customer service? But, in the meantime... He's got a bunch of shirts that need ironing, so I've got to carry a pile to the dry cleaners. Making sure I check the pockets of everything first, because he has a tendency to leave lip balm or breath strips in odd little pockets, and those don't wash and iron so well.
I've discovered something, having Mothering.com as my homepage is usually a great thing, but I'm not sure its so brilliant to read articles like this when I'm heading into week 34 of my pregnancy. I was crying and crying. Gah. Now, my eyes are all blotchy.

Not to be evil, but you do realize that I don't have to do anything to my hair... hehheheheheheh... not even shampoo.
I was lucky that night though, because my hair either looks good, or it's an enourmous uncontrollable afro.
Tracy Shringarpure.... It has a marvelous ring to it!
Congratulations to both of you! I'm so happy for you guys, and wish you both nothing but the best (and most interesting) of lives together. Though we weren't present, we were there with you the whole time.
I can't wait to meet Nilesh (and the baby, who I'm sure will be in the world by then.) Please send us pictures when you get a chance. I love you and miss you!
Nilesh... Even though we've never talked, I feel like I have gotten to know you over the past year. Congratulations to you on your marriage, and soon-to-be fatherhood. Welcome to the family!
