I'm directing again!

Granted, its just a ten minute play. But after a year of fetching coffee, being on-book, and helping other directors fulfill their vision, I am once again at the helm of my own teeny-tiny little boat. What, you might be asking, am I directing? As part of McCarter's Education Department's Young Playwright festival, I am directing a piece called Prophylaxis: A play for the ladies [On sex and chess] by Ben Warren. Not only does it have a great title, but its a fabulous one-man (almost) show. We've just had a week of rehearsals, a day or two of tech, and then a week of performances. It's fast satisfying theater. Yay!

Even more amazing is that I've only got 15 days left in Princeton. I've been here since last August, and this year has just sped by. So much has changed, hell... After my trip to Alaska and Southern Illinois I'm going to be moving in with my boy. How crazy is that? In love and living together. Gah. What am I... becoming an adult? Ick. Well, I do drink coffee now, which I always saw as something adults did. So... maybe I've caught up with my age. Nah... I still like sesame street, I still always try to stay up past my bedtime and I still like splashing in puddles. Whew.

On to a new topic. TV. I don't watch regular television anymore. I have fully discovered, through my beloved Netflix, the joys of TV on DVD. No commercials, whole seasons watched over the span of a couple weeks, pausability. It's all good except for when everyone around me is gearing up for the season five premier of Six Feet Under and I'm barely halfway through season three. Ahh well.

Well I'll be getting the last dvd of six feet under this week yes. But the wait between seasons coming out on dvd is horrible. Where are you planning on moving to?

I've been following your progress through six feet under thanks to the friends function. heh. I'm a bit behind because my roommate decided that instead of distributing everyone's mail like we've been doing all year to our little boxes, she hid mine under the couch in a pile of newspapers. BUT... I discovered them and watched them speedily.

Where am I moving to? Good question. I'm still unsure because Nilesh doesn't know yet. We're still waiting to find out if he'll get the job he interviewed for in San Diego. If he gets it, we're moving there. If not... Chicago here I come. Whee!
